The Librarian From Hell

So. I bet that you can't guess what happened in my oh-so-interesting life today! I got kicked out of the library! And no, I wasn't being loud, obnoxious, goofing off, or playing games on the computer. Oh no. I was doing my homework. -.- I mean, since when can't you do your homework in the library? Seriously? What the hell is up with that?

Basically, Mme. Goldin sent Sarah (Boutros) and me over to the library to do homework because Sarah needed a textbook (we didn't know that the Textbook Room closed at two), and we'd already finished our fairytale project, which everyone was working on. So, since there wasn't a box for "Homework," Mme. Goldin marked off "Research," since it was the most appropriate.
Then we get to the library, signed in, and the librarian asks us if we needed computers, since there weren't any available seeing as a class was there. So we told her that we just needed to get a book (not a lie). Then we find out the room is closed, but it was so much quieter in the library that we just stayed, and I did my math homework while Sarah read a book.
Then after about 15 minutes, she got bored and asked the librarian if there were any geometry textbooks, and the librarian (I am not kidding), seriously exploded at her. She was all like, "Why do you need a textbook if you're doing research?!?! It's because you're doing homework, huh?!?!" And me, still working on algebra homework, but listening to their conversation, was all like, "Oh crap." So Sarah comes back and sits down, and we're both like, "Sh*t, we're screwed."

So me, being the awesome, eloquent, sophisticated speaker I am (not. But I can be when I want to! XD), told her that our teacher sent us here to do homework. But then she's like, "Well, the library isn't here for you to do homework! It's for projects and research. If you told me you were here to do homework, I would have sent you back immediately. And technically you lied, because you said you were here for research. Why are you here to do homework anyways?"
So I was just like, "Well, the rest of our class is working on their project, which we've already finished. We figured the library would be quieter than our classroom, and Sarah needed a geometry book." Then she gets all mad again and is like, "Homework is to be done in class, NOT here! You're excused now."
Then I just said, "Okay." Sarah and I started packing up, but NOOOOO she wasn't done yet. -.- She was like, "And you guys are probably going to be put on the short list to never... *trails off* (I think she meant we couldn't come back to the library.) Well, you guys are bailing out of class!"
I was like, "Well, Mme. Goldin knows that we're here to do homework, because she sent us here, so we're not skipping class." And she switches tack and is like, "Fine, well, tell your teacher that she'll probably be getting an e-mail from us, and this is going straight to administration."

I was really pissed off at this point because 1) it's a library for God's sake! Since when can't you do homework in a library? and 2) she's trying to report us for doing homework? What the f*ck? Let's see how well that turns out. *eyeroll* But I knew arguing wouldn't help anymore since she was so intent on kicking us out, so I was just like, "Yes ma'am."
She doesn't even know our names either. I mean, we're the last on the list, but I doubt she's actually going to check; plus there was a class there when we arrived. Besides, it's not like her arguments are going to carry over, I mean, come on, how convincing is, "I think you should assign these kids *insert punishment here* because they were doing homework in the library." And if she says we lied, they'll undoubtedly ask what we lied about, and her saying, "They were supposed to be doing research, not homework" isn't too convincing either. And the ditching class is completely absurd, because Mme. Goldin will obviously dispel that thought in a millisecond.

But yeah. Seriously, all this over doing homework in the library. (Besides, Ross said that you're allowed to during brunch and lunch. I mean, seriously? We have permission too!) What's even wrong with that? We weren't even talking or anything, and besides, the library was totally empty except for us and a library TA when she came and started b*tching at us.

So what do you think? Librarian from hell much?
