MONDAY
Anyways, Monday was Pajama Day!!! Yay! I woke up and was like, "Yesh, I can sleep in for another 5 minutes because I don't have to change!!!" XD We didn't do much Monday; we did whatever in Mock Trial, continued our coil mugs in ceramics, and had our two quizzes (vocab and TKAM Ch. 20-31, which I failed) and watched some more of the TKAM movie, then we had our Lab Skills test in bio.
Practice was okay, we just learned the first 16-ish sets of the closer, and filled in the rest of the opener.
TUESDAY
Tuesday was College Apparel day!!! I wore a Cal Berkeley T-shirt and sweatshirt. The T-shirt had a weird neckline, so I sewed up the top. =P It actually looked better that way though! WE started our run-through of the trial in Mock Trial, and got through about 3 witnesses on varsity prosecution. Then in math, we just went over homework (for like 70 minutes) then learned some "new" crap about negative/zero exponents, and did homework. I swear, I was scared that I would fall asleep in her class. I was seriously dozing off. The only time I was awake for the class was when I was copying notes. In PE, we played basketball (figuratively; literally, we just dribbled and shot baskets), and hockey (where I got really competitive because basketball was boring). Then in French, we had our "Unite Deux" test, which I think I did pretty well on, then we did some very interesting pantomimes...
TODAY
... was grade color day! Freshmen wore black, sophomores wore red, juniors wore blue, and seniors wore green. It's an excellent way to tell what grade someone's in. XP In Mock trial, we finished the varsity prosecution witnesses, and got through two JV witnesses. The JV witnesses were hella funny because one kept avoiding the question, and Toby totally forgot one of his answers. So basically, for "Dana Daniels," the cross went like:
Lana (attorney): So was she carrying anything?
Dana: She could have been.
Lana: But could you tell if she was carrying anything?
Dana: She could have been.
It was really funny. Then there was a part that went like:
Lana: So is it true that you saw dozens of tourist sites on the web which contained anti-New Believer material?
Dana: Yes, but you know how tourists can be.
Lana: Ok, well... *Pauses, thinks* No, I don't know how tourists can be. Would you please explain?
Luke *admist lots of laughing*: Objection, Your Honor! My witness has no personal knowledge of "how tourists can be."
Then with Toby, who was Stacy Samuels, it went like:
Attorney: So where were you on June 26, 2008?
Stacy/Toby: *silence*
Attorney (after about a minute and a half): Where were you on June 26, 2008?
Stacy/Toby: *more silence* ... I was at the demonstration?
It was REALLY funny. Then in ceramics, we continued our coil mugs, and such. Then in English, we took the "healthy Kids" survey and read this article about "Growing Up in the Great Depression," then answered questions about it. In bio, we did a lab on enzymes, then discussed it. Speaking of which, my citizenship grade went down 10& because the girl next to me kept poking me and asking me for a sheet of paper. -.-' I wasn't even talking... But whatever. My grade went from a 105% to a 104%! Oh my gosh!!! I could have 0% in citizenship and still have an A. XD

Foothill Competition!!!
Okay, so brief review for those of you that hate long posts: We won 1st for guard, 5th for woodwind, and 2nd overall (all in our division). We lost to Cupertino for the overall by, get this, 0.2 of a point. I know. One freaking fifth of a point. UGH. And get this too... Saratoga won five sweepstakes awards. A.k.a. ALL OF THE FREAKING SWEEPSTAKES! DX
Okay, so rehearsal was HELLA tiring. I swear, I was seriously dead by the time it ended, it wasn't even funny (we had to drive ourselves to Foothill, sine it was only like, 15 minutes away). We got a lot done during rehearsal though, so that was good.
Then I got home, washed my face, and seriously rushed like sh*t to change and get my hair/makeup done. It was crazy. Then I couldn't find the Cal trailer (I mean seriously, why the heck did Mr. Johnson have to park it in the farthest, most inconspicuous place ever?!?!) so I was like, 10 minutes late, which sort of sucked, but there were still people missing, so it wasn't like they'd started without me.
During warm-up, we did a pretty good job; we cleaned everything up, but didn't have the time to do a whole run-through in standstill. =/
The competition itself was... eh... Guard did really well, but I messed up twice; once I got to the fermata sort of late, so I skipped out three counts, then joined back in, the other was when I half dropped a toss (I caught it with one hand; the pole end bounced off the floor, and I got it and kept going), but that one didn't really affect me that much.
As for band music... let's just say that I was really surprised we won second. No offense, but the music was HELLA screwed up... Pit was playing at like, two different tempos, then the drum line wasn't playing with either of the tempos the pit was at, so the actual music was off, since everyone was following a different tempo... It sort of sucked, but the guard was like, "You know what? We'll just stay together and we'll be good." AND WE GOT FIRST!!! W00T!!!
Afterwards, I was hella hyper, and I was jumping around and screaming the whole time before the awards, so I ended up scaring off Jung, Ellen, and partially Courtney and Ying Tao (which means cherry in Mandarin, a.k.a David. His Chinese name is Huang Tao, so I started calling him Tao Zhi, but Ying Tao sounds cooler). Then I stuck to Ross (who was really quiet o.o), and Peter, who kept telling me to shut up. XP I love my friends. Haha. Then near the end of the awards, my "sugar rush" (which wasn't really a sugar rush, because I didn't have any sugar) wore off, and I got pretty tired, so I tried to use Ross as a pillow, but he's a very uncooperative pillow, so I ended up using Peter. Then (this was during the sweepstakes) I kept shooting up and going, "NO WAY, WHAT THE F*CKING HELL?!?!" every time they announced the winner, because it was always Saratoga. -.-
Then afterwards (after I licked the guard trophy and got all hyped up again that is), I started attacking Ying Tao, and he ended up kneeling down when I was jumping up, so I landed on his back, and he gave me a piggy-back ride from the stadium to the trailer, which, by the way, is a really long distance, even without a 98 pound person on your back. It was rather interesting though, and sort of creepy that he actually was able to carry me that whole way without killing himself. Haha. But that was REALLY fun. =D
So basically, I'm hella happy that guard won first, sort of annoyed that Saratoga won ALL the sweepstakes, and hella pissed that we lost to Cupertino by ONE-FIFTH of a point. -.- But whatever, overall, I'm really happy! Yay!

Stupid Moment of My Life
Yeah. Anyways, on a funnier note than my last post, I had the stupidest moment (or one of them) of my life during brunch. So anyways, I stole Robyn's flip-flops, and I was running around with them, weaving through the poles in front of the band room. Then she was chasing me, but then she stopped, and yelled at me, so I turned around and smacked into a pole and sort of tripped sideways over it. It was rather interesting. XD Then everyone started cracking up, because I mean, seriously, who runs into poles? XD You had to be there though; it was HILARIOUS.
Oh yeah, I got my Homecoming ticket! Yay! It's like, printed on photo paper, and it has Dance Dance Revolution on the front and stuff. It's sort of plain, but whatever.

Mental Issues
Not really in that way, but more like physically. I'm beginning to wonder if I have some sort of fatal disease or something... If you've known me for a while, you know that I get headaches every so often, and major migraines like, once a month. So basically, today at school, my head was sort of hurting, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal, then I got home, and it got worse. So I ate an Advil, some food, and went to bed. Then I woke up for Chinese school, and my head hurt so bad I started crying, but then I forced myself to stop because I had a midterm in Chinese that I can't miss (we don't have school next week, and it would have been unfair to everyone else if I got an extra 2 weeks to study), and ate another Advil. So I got to school, and it started up really bad again, so I got through Part I of the midterm, then the migraine, coupled with the bright lights and noise (yesh, our class is noisy even during a test), overwhelmed me, and it started hurting like SH*T. I swear, you guys can't even imagine the pain unless you've experienced it. it feels like my head was in a frickin vice, and there were millions of tiny people inside my skull, smashing it with pick axes or something. So I started sobbing like an idiot and Michael (who was sitting next to me) was like, "Oh my gosh, are you sure you're okay? Just calm down..." I think he thought I was crying because I couldn't get the answers on the test. XD So I was like (in my sad, weepy voice), "I'm not crying because I'm stressed, I'm crying because my head hurts like hell." Then I started getting those white dots in my vision, so I could barely see what I was writing on the test. By then, it was already after break.
Then, as if it wasn't bad enough, my vision totally went. Gone. All I could see was white, and I was like, "OMFG, WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!" So obviously, I didn't finish the test, seeing as I was crying and cowering in pain for like, an hour and half. So the teacher let me take it home, which makes me wonder, "Why the heck did I go to Chinese school in the first place, if I didn't even do my midterm?" So basically, everyone was done with their test by then, and mine (which I will finish later) was in my backpack. Then we had this raffle thing, and after the raffle, Stanley and Jimmy kept coming up t me and stealing my glasses since I couldn't tell if they were taking anything or not. Then they started holding up fingers, and asking how many they were holding up, and I (being blind) just said random numbers. Everyone was really nice though, it's not like they were all, "OMG ERICA'S BLIND! LET'S GO STEAL ALL HER STUFF AND PUSH HER INTO THINGS!" Then after school, I was still blind, so i was like, Aw sh*t, how am I supposed to get home?" So Jimmy and Michael had to lead me out of the room and to the parking lot; then Michael had to find my mom and help me get into the car. It was rather embarrassing. Then after a few minutes (my mom went off to find her friend to get something), my vision came back in a few seconds, and I was like, "Thank God, I can see again." Then Jimmy passed, and I went out to talk to him ad his brother (Max), and we got around to talking about the Matrix, so I went into the back bend, and that was sort of fun. Then Jimmy was all like, "What was it like being blind?" So I just said it was all white.
Basically, I'm really scared now, because either it was just a side effect of the migraine and overload of light or whatever, or there's something wrong with me. =/ I really hope it's the first, because it'd just really suck if I had some weird disease, or if I was to be blind...
I feel really sorry for all the blind people now, especially if they became blind (because then you actually know what it feels like to be able to see), and weren't born that way. it's a feeling of utter helplessness, because you can't really tell what's going on around you, besides from the sound, and someone could totally just do whatever around you and you wouldn't even notice...

Cal Concert @ PV
So anyways, Cal's theater is undergoing reconstruction, so we obviously can't host a concert there. Usually, I thought we'd go to Dougherty, but tonight, for reasons unknown, we were at PV (Pine Valley). Their campus is like, brand spanking new. The MPR there is way smaller than Cal's thought; it's a little bit smaller than IHMS too. Brings back memories though... I don't even eat in the MPR now. XD
So more about the concert. Courtney and Robyn were in dresses!!! And Terry and Ben were in tuxedos!!! They all look fine though; I thought Courtney looked really pretty, and I was all like, you should wear dresses more. =P Obviously, she's not going to though.
It felt weird to be in the audience for once, because it feels like I should be on the stage, performing with them. =/ Ah well, my parents wouldn't let me join band, so...
Anyways, the band itself (concert) was pretty good (better than middle school, for sure), although symphonic band owned them, and wind ensemble owned all. They had orchestra today too, and their songs were all nice and pretty.
Basically, during concert band and some of orchestra's performances, I was sitting with Brenden near the front, talking about how they're good and everything. Then, when the concert band people came back in (at the back), we both ran down the aisle and started talking to our friends and everything. Then we got intermission, so we were just talking, eating, and being weird (as usual).
When symphonic band went back, I was sitting in the back bleachers with Courtney ad Robyn (them in their dresses, me in my awesome jeans, T-shirt, jacket, and boots) and talked about how they were good, and how weird it was to wear a dress. XD Then we got another little break, and during wind ensemble's performance, I was sitting next to Brenden and Robyn, and David was behind me, so I was using him as a backrest. XD Then I tried using Robyn as a pillow, but she wasn't the right height, so I switched to Brenden, but he moved away, so we ended up crashing into the girl sitting next to him. XD And later on, Robyn used Courtney as a pillow, I used Robyn, and Brenden used me. =D It was rather fun.
Of course, all throughout this, I was clapping and cheering every time they finished a song, and when the band came down, I'd find my friends, and scream, "Go *insert name here*!!!" when they passed the center aisle. So yeah. It was hella fun today, but it sucks that I can't go to the jazz band/ensemble one on Thursday (piano). I really wanted to see Ross and Brenden in semi-formal tuxes (tuxes without the jacket).

W00t W00t!!!!!!
OMFG, we won sweepstakes at the Independence comp!!!! Go us!!! (For you ignorant people, sweepstakes is 1st place overall). We got 1st guard (88%), 2nd woodwinds, and 2nd brass. Yay!!! Haha, it was totally silent before they announced the sweepstakes winner, then the announcer goes, "Califor-" and is interrupted by a huge mass of people screaming their heads off (me included XP) and hugging the people closest to them. It was awesome!
Rehearsal today went pretty well, it was hella funny because the guard coaches' itineraries said that practice started at 11, but it really started at 10:30, so they were all late. I knew all of the work, but was still a bit late to the opener's closing on a few runs. I got it right during the show though, so that's good. I lost my dot book. *sighs* I owe Mr. Johnson a six-pack of Diet Coke now. XP I'd rather give him that stuff than run 3 miles though. XD
We didn't do much during the bus ride this time, besides getting ready for he show. I couldn't get my eyelashes on (I spent like 10 minutes on that), so the right one kept poking me in the eye during warm-up. XD
So during the show, I messed up on the 18 count move forward (AGAIN >=O), but this time, the flag pole got caught in my hair. Then I didn't notice, so I tried to keep doing work, and it was pulling on my head, so I was like, "Aw sh*t, you're kidding me right...?" It took me SOOOO long (at least it seemed) to get it out of my hair. DX But I got back in, and it doesn't matter, because WE GOT FIRST!!! I swear though, why can't I mess up when I'm in the back?!?! Why must it always be when we're in the front, and I'm almost smack in the middle of the field?!?! Gr. I think it's because that's the time that I really notice we're performing. Because I mean, before then, I'm never really noticing that there are judges and everything, like, consciously, I know this is a show, but it doesn't sink in because everything's going so fast, so it seems like rehearsal. Then I get to the fermata, and I'm like, "Wow, it's really a show..." Then I get flustered and screw up. DX
Afterwards, the drum majors were all like, good job! Then we were all really happy and everything! Yay! Then Jay, Kyle, and Kelly "summon" us over, and they bring us really far from the band, so I was like, "Oh sh*t, there has to be a reason why we're so far from the band..." Then Kelly was like, "How was it?"And we thought it was pretty good, and then she was like, "That was... *big pause, builds suspense* WAY better than last week." Upon which we all started cheering and hugging each other. Then she goes, "Actually, that was your best run yet." Which prompts us to go crazy. XP Then she says how everyone was working really hard, and even though (she said these exact words), "You (a.k.a me) got caught up in your flag like 50 times in 8 counts, but you always knew what was coming, and you'd place your flag there, and within two counts, the guard would get there. Then you'd get caught up again, but you were always thinking ahead." So I was like, "Damn, did I really mess up that bad?" But I was pretty happy about her complimenting me. So she was like, "It goes to show that bad things do happen, but it's how you handle those situations." So we got really good reviews, and it paid off because we got first! W00t!
So yeah, this was an AWESOME show, and it makes me really look forward to the one next week. Now I'm going to go to bed, but I don't know if I can fall asleep since I'm so psyched!

These Last Few Days...
...were actually pretty normal.
Tuesday, we basically didn't do anything in Mock Trial. We got our Chapter 3++ tests back in math (I got a 93%). Speaking of math, I was dozing off, then Mrs. Turbeville called on me, and our conversation went like:
Turbeville: "What's the degree of this?"
Me: "Two."
T: "Why?"
M: "...because the highest degree of any monomial is... two..."
T: "What's the degree of this?"
M: "Two."
T: "This?"
M: "One."
T: "This?"
M: "Zero."
T: "So what's the degree of the whole thing?"
M: "...two..."
T: "You sure?"
M: "Yes..."
T: "Okay class! So the degree of this trinomial is two!"
M: "..."
Then in PE we ran the mile (I got 7:47, which is really good for me. o.o). French was boring, but fun in a way, like always.
Wednesday, we still didn't do anything in Mock Trial. Then in ceramics, we just kept doing our coil mugs (mine looks like crap by the way). We assembled our "Recreate Maycomb" model thing, but I swear, period 5 probably pwned us so bad. Taehyun printed out a picture of a woman in a wheelchair and that was it. XD Then Biology was pretty fun, we did this seaweed lab, and there's so many types o seaweed and stuff. o.o It was really interesting.
Today was pretty good. Attorneys had their quizzes in Mock Trial, and witnesses just sat around and talked. Lisa and I started warming up for our math quiz. Then in math we took a quiz which was pretty easy, but I don't know. Lunch was pretty bad. Robyn and I were trying to spin pends, then Robyn threw it into the air, I tried to catch it, and Robyn fell into Soomin, and I fell into Robyn, and Soomin's lunch (spaghetti) got smashed all over the place. I was like, "OMG I'm so sorry! =/" Then I got paper towels and stuff and cleaned it all up. And stuffed $5 into Soomin's hood, since he wouldn't take it. Courtney's apparently quite pissed at me though (read her blog), so that kind of sucks. Anyways, I'm going to go sleep now, since I have a biology test tomorrow, plus Chinese school.
INDEPENDENCE COMPETITION SATURDAY! YAY!!!

Go Guardies!!!
We did a full run of the whole show today (without all of the closure flag work, since we only learned the first 10 sets or so), and it was actually pretty fun. It was hecka tiring ad all, but whatever. I love the closure flags; they're like this bright red with sparkly Z's on them. The closure work is awesome too; like, it looks hella cool and hard, but when you actually do it, it's not that hard at all. I can't wait until Saturday! Yay!!! I'm psyched. Seeing how Cupertino's comp went, I'm mucho excited for the one at Independence! Go guardies!!!
By the way, here's the link for the competition at Cupertino: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYDQ2M_kMLQ. Look for me! (Or don't.) I'm the lifter at the 50 in the beginning, the person by the (Side 2) 40 yard-line at the 12 count halt, and the person by the (Side 1) 45 yard-line, when we move forward, that got her flag tangled up. You can ignore that part. XP

Cupertino Competition!
I was at some form of guard-related activity for 16 hours straight! Yay!
Ellen and I were getting ready (hair/makeup, etc.) from around 8 - 10 am, then from 10 - 2:30 we had practice. I seriously don't get why They make us practice so much on a field day. I mean, if we're all exhausted before we even get to the competition, how d the expect us to do well? Then for about half an hour, we got to chill and talk about our competition. (Someone goes, "What day is it?" and everyone else screams, "SHOW DAY!") Then at 3, we loaded all of our equipment and changed, and put on our hairpieces, eyelashes, and whatever else we needed to do. Then we boarded the bus at around 3:30.
The bus ride was actually pretty fun. Sara (from horn line), gave her iPod to some dude, who blasted music throughout the bus, like "Disturbia," and "Baby Got Back." We all sang along, and it's no wonder why almost no one in guard is in choir. It was really funny, because during this inappropriate song, Mr. Johnson (who was in our bus), was like, "Could you turn that off please?" Then they ignored him, so he was all, "COULD YOU TURN THAT OFF PLEASE? I don't like it." It was pretty interesting.
We spent like, the first 40 minutes at Cupertino HS running around, looking for a bathroom, then standing in line. Then we got ready, and lined up for our "entrance." I was fine until I started setting down my opener flag, then I was like, "Aw sh*t, it's actually show time..." I did pretty well though, except for one major part, and one minor part. The major part was when I as on the Side 1 one of the 45, and we were moving forward for 18. In the first 3 counts (the drop spin), my hand got tangled in the flag because there was a very unexpected wind, so I kept going until 11, when I really couldn't go anymore, and was out until 15... Then the other part was in the ballad, from counts 32-36 of the 40 count halt, we had this loop behind us, and I did a really wimpy one. XD All in all though, I felt I did pretty well for my first competition ever. I could have done better, but...
Mr. Johnson and our drum majors thought we did "great," according to them. Mr. J was like, this was WAY better than Fairfield! Apparently, the Fairfield comp last year sucked. Then guard went to Kelly/Kyle/Jay/Jesse, and Kelly was all like, "I'm not going to lie. That was awful. You were. You were awful." Then she went on to say how apparently we were cramming too much the last week, and how someone dropped a saber, and no one picked it up, so someone could have tripped over it. It was like, everyone was sort of happy after Mr. J's opinion, then we got smashed into the earth by Kelly. She said flag line held things together though, so that was good.
Then we went to go change, and the bus was hecka dark, so no one could really see anything. The uniforms are HELLA hard to change out of! o.o Then we ate (hamburgers, potato salad, regular salad, chips, cookies, water) and went to go see the rest of the performances. Cupertino was actually pretty good, they have a pretty big band. Their guard was mostly together, except for a few people here and there.
Foothill and Homestead got hecka awards! They both had like, six. And half of them were 1st or 2nd places. =O We got 2nd for Drumline (surprised EVERYONE), and 3rd for guard. W00t! Go us! I would've laughed if we got first, after Kelly's speech. (I would have LOVED to see her expression if that happened though...) Anyways, it was rather fun, but I so don't want to go to 2 more, especially in a row. Mostly because we only have 2 practices (excluding the one on show day) to learn ALL of the closer... DX
I completely crashed on the ride home. I remember Mckenzie, Colton, Alyssa, Lia, and me sharing some jokes and "creepy" stories, then eating pears and a bite of my sandwich, then I fell asleep and Christine woke me up when we got back. XD It took us a few minutes to put our uniform back, but there was this HUGE line for the band people... I felt kind of sorry for them. I got home at 12:17, took a bath (almost fell asleep in the tub, too XD), ate some food, then went to bed. I was sooo tired, I changed my status on Facebook, and was just like... you know what... I'm posting in my blog tomorrow. XP
Anyways, first comp was pretty fun, and I can and can't wait for the one next week! Yay! =D

Pain and Phony Terror
Yeah. I got hurt a lot today... It was rather interesting. So basically, when I was walking to Mock Trial, I tripped up the stairs, and almost ran into a wall/closed door. Then in Mock Trial, I accidentally kicked a chair, which hurt like crap. (We didn't get a "Fun Friday" today... =( But we didn't do anything else either...)
Then in math, I ran into a desk, which was definitely not the smartest thing anyone could have done.
At break, I almost crashed into one of those pole/pillar things, and got poked by my friends (granted, I was poking them too).
In PE, I tried to catch the "softball" in mesh ball or whatever that's called, and believe me, that thing is HARD. It hit my right thumb, which was already sore from multiple failed inverted toss catches, and basically bent it backwards quite... interestingly... Then in paddle ball, Jenna was serving the ball (I was on the same side as her, in front) and it flew hella straight and basically clocked me on the head. And tennis balls hurt quite a bit when they're served with extreme force and just happen to smash into the back of your head.
During lunch, nothing really happened, thank goodness. Courtney was off at her Pen Spinning Club meeting, and I just talked with Lisa, Robyn, Terry, Ben, etc. Then Terry ditched us for his FMA (Future Medical Associates) meeting. XD
French was the "phony teror" part. We watched this movie called "Diabolique," and basically, there's this evil headmaster dude who abuses his fragile wife and headstrong mistress, so the wife and mistress "plan" to kill him. They "drown" him, and shove his body into the school's swimming pool, which is so dirty that no one can see anything. When the caretaker person drains the pool though, the body's gone. Basically, in the end, it turns out that the headmaster dude wasn't dead, and that he and his mistress were actually planning to kill his wife. But then at the end, this line makes it seem like the wife isn't really dead, so no on knows if she's dead or not. It was supposed to be a horror movie, but it wasn't scary at all; it was sort of disgusting, but definitely not scary.
Then at guard practice after school, the wind was HELLA strong, it was pretty hard to do all of the work. Like, if you had your back to the wind, and did a simple pop toss, which normally would land right back in your hands, it'd land like, 5 feet in front of you. No joke. So I was doing the work, then the pole slammed into my face because the wind was so strong. DX
Then at Chinese school, I was dozing off at break in class, then Stanley started shoving his hat onto my head, so I got pissed and grabbed it. Jimmy tried to get it back, but I wouldn't let go, and he ended up pulling me to the ground, and since I was sitting in the desk, the desk fell on top of my leg and hurt like a b*tch.
So yeah. I tend to get hurt a lot. And very easily. And by the randomest things/moments ever.

Monterey Bay Aquarium!
Anyways, it was SO much fun today! Sucks that Courtney didn't go. But basically, during the bus ride, I was sitting next to Meghan and we were talking to David (Pray), Voloshko, Tom (Ash), and Allie, and we were having really random conversations. Like, about how Pine Valley sucks (David) and how apparently we're Iron "Whores" (Meghan).
Then we stopped at Morgan Hills (Safeway/Burger King). I got some hash brown bites, and fries from Burger King, and was almost late to the bus. BK's service is SO FRICKIN SLOW! It took the 5 workers there like, ten minutes to get Voloshko his cheeseburger and chocolate shake. I mean seriously! How can it take five people ten minutes to make a burger and fill a cup?! But anyways, the hash browns were hecka good, and the fries too. Woke me up right away. Then I stole some of Meghan's Starbursts. XD
Afterwards, we just went to Monterey, but we stopped at Lover's Point first. I took tons of pictures; the scenery is awesome there! It was hilarious though, because half the people went down to the "shoreline" but then whenever the tide came in, it'd come straight at us, so we'd all scream and jump up on the rocks. XD There's this ledge you have to cross, which is pretty good for taking photos, but it's pretty high up and kind of scary. o.o
Then we got dropped off in Monterey, and I hung out with Kevin and Brendan. We found all of the extra credit places first, and took photos there, then on our way to the aquarium, we took some random pictures at random places that we just thought were cool.
The actual aquarium was AWESOME! There were tons of fish (obviously), and some were hecka bright! Then they had these HUGE fish which were probably like, three feet long. They had jellyfish, eels, seahorses, crabs, sea cucumbers, kelp, starfish, penguins, and SEA OTTERS! The sea otters were ADORABLE!!! I wanted to go over and just squeeze them to death. So the aquarium was hella cool, and even their re-entry stamp is awesome! It's basically a stamp that you can only see under a black light. Kevin, Brendan, and I all got stamped, and since you can't see it with the naked eye (unless it's really bright, then you can sort of see the outline), we were like, "Uh... *dot dot dot*," then the employee was like, stick your hand under the light, and we did, and we all went , "WHOA!" It was rather funny.
Then we went to Bubba Gump's for lunch, and their shrimp is hecka good! Yum. =D We went to "Candyland" before, but didn't buy anything, and I was going to get taffy afterwards, but we ran out of time. Speaking of Candyland, they had these beaded bracelets with names on them, and Kevin bought one for *cough* the girl he used to stalk *cough* (if you know who that is), and then he started getting all wimpy and loser-ish, and was all like, "Oh, I don't like her," "I'm not going to give it to her," etc. Then both Brendan and I were just like... "What a wimp..." Haha.
Then afterwards, I got one of those pressed penny things, and I have a sea otter on mine! =) Then I had to run back to the bus, and I sort of got lost on the way back, so Brendan had to show me where the buses were. XD
I fell asleep on the ride back, so I don't remember much from that. I literally got on the bus, and like, conked out within ten minutes.
Then I had to go take my math test, which was okay, but I still think I failed it. It was funny, because Mrs. Turbeville had a meeting, and apparently she doesn't trust me, because she was all like, "So if you have your book, you can't open it, and you can't use your notes either..." Well duh. It's a TEST. Lol.
And I suck at Colorguard. That's all I'm going to say.

Today... and Practice Yesterday
Anyways, we had fun times today. We basically didn't do anything in Mock Trial; Pink Bunny and I tried to help Lisa sort out her problems, but I guess Pink Bunny sort of gave up and just did our witness statements. I feel so insignificant though; I can't help Lisa besides saying stupid stuff like, "Don't worry, you'll be fine," or "Just give it some time." UGH. I wish I could help her! =( On a happier note though, my other two friends are no longer depressed! Yay! Well, they're still sad, but not majorly. =D
In ceramics, I started making my coil mug pair, but I'm kind of apprehensive, since I picked up my coil vase today, and the neck totally fell off. Watch, I'll make the mugs, fire them, glaze them, be all happy, take the home, then try to use them, and gasp in horror as the handle detaches and the mug falls to the floor, shattering into a million shards of porcelain and leaving a HUGE dent in the hardwood. XD
English was pretty fun. We're reading To Kill A Mockingbird, and it's actually quite interesting. Then we finished our questionnaire; there was this one question that said, "Draw fear," so I drew the eye on top of Sauron's tower. XD I'm such an LOTR nerd. Haha. Then we had story time!!! Yay! Reminds me of the good old days...
Then in biology today, we had our test on Cannery Row, which I KNOW I failed, due to the "irrelevant" fact that I didn't read the book. Haha. I still sort of remembered some stuff from when I read it like, 3 years ago, but I basically guessed on all of the questions. At least they were general though, so I might get like... 40%? Then we went over the "Do's and Dont's" for our field trip to Monterey Bay Aquarium tomorrow. I'm going, and I'm so happy! Yay! But no one I know is going, so I have no idea who I'm going to hang out with. o.o Oh well.
After school, Ellen (Liang) came over to my house to teach me some flag work, and we ended up spending like, 15 minutes on the work, and 3 1/2 hours gossiping and braiding each others hair (we were trying to figure out how to do our show hair for the competition Saturday). It was quite fun. XD
Flashback to yesterday, our practice actually wasn't that bad. We concentrated on the opener, and I'm pretty much set for everything but the new work (but that's troublesome, because the new work is the 18 count move forward and 12 count move sideways, where I'm at the very front of the field, almost smack in the middle). But then we got a full run-through of the opener, which was really funny. Basically, we didn't do the lift on one of the run-throughs, so we had to "pretend lift," and when Boozer was pretending to lift me, I was pretending to hold on for dear life, and since we both went forward at the same time, he ended up punching me in the face. XD It was rather interesting. I get so tired by the end of the opener though, it's no even funny. Like, I can breathe and everything, but it feels like I just ran... maybe half a mile. And my arms are sore. Lol. So yeah, yesterday was pretty good overall, and the "''pretend lift" incident was hilarous.
Oh, by the way, if you haven't noticed, I added a little chat box on the side. (I stole the idea from Courtney; she has one too.) Feel free to post some random comments there!

Horn/Guard Party and Tutoring!
Lol, so at the horn/guard party, we had tons of fun doing hella random stuff. We crammed like 19 people into a jacuzzi/spa meant for 4 people, played "Chicken," played Ten Fingers and T/D, and averted our eyes as Michael, David, and Max changed into Speedos. But yeah, it was hella funny. XD Then we pulled Ashlee forcefully into the spa... by her ankles. And, since she was holding onto a chair leg (the one that Natalie was sitting in), Natalie and the chair almost fell in too. It was hilarious. It was SO fun though!
Afterwards, I went to Lisa's house (which is where I am right now), with a very annoying David Huang reading what I'm typing right now. But yeah. We had some very interesting talks about matching up our friends, playing random games, all while ignoring our ultimate goal: math homework. But whatever. XP Yeah. Lisa's AWESOME at making narisushi. Or however you spell it (those little sushi things that are seasoned rice wrapped in tofu peels). Anyways, today was pretty awesome, but I seriously don't want to go to school tomorrow, OR band practice, since I suck so much at that. DX

I Fail at Life...
Seriously. I SUCK at guard. Most of the times, I really feel like I'm holding back our team; the could be SO much better if I wasn't there...
But anyways, today, the dancing part was actually pretty fun. We have this part where everyone is either lifting their body up, collapsing down, or spinning around in sequence, so Jay was like, "Go to the part where you're either Rain Dance, Ground Worship, or Tornado!" Me, I do Rain Dance, Ground Worship, Tornado, Tornado. And the really funny thing is, all t time we were doing that stuff, it'd rain spasmodically. So it was either hat the gods hate us for not just making it rain, or their answering our "Rain Dances." But it ended up being sunny, so it didn't really work.
Then Jay was getting on our case about not being aggressive enough, so he started making his weird metaphors again. (He has ones like, "Every time you drop your flag, a baby dies," and "Every time you mess up, God pulls the wings off an angel." He also compares our aggressiveness to fish in "Finding Nemo" in ranking of least aggressive to most: Sturgeon, Dory, Nemo, Merlin, Piranha.) So today he was like, "You want to pop the zit, so be AGGRESSIVE!" Then he'd be like, "You guys suck at popping zits!" or "Some pus came out that time, you want it to be oozing out!" It was rather disturbing ad funny at the same time.
Now during the flagwork part, we learned some new ballad work, and I don't get any of it. I really need to get with someone before Saturday (our first competition, OMG...)
And during our drill... I sucked. Seriously sucked. As in, if I was missing from the competition, it'd look better with this hole where I was, than how I performed today. I totally didn't get the 18 count move forward work, missed my drill spot on the 12 after, and screwed up my work on the 6 count halt. Then in the ballad, I totally f*cked up the 40 count half work (I even hit Jenny's flute on a run; I was like "OMFG, are you okay?" Then I screwed up the 16 count move, and missed the new work we learned (it was only 3 counts for God's sake!) for about the first three repetitions of our ballad run.
But yeah, I basically fail at life, and I feel like I'm holding everyone back. Ugh. I'm just going to have to work THAT much harder, but now, it feels like no matter what I do, I still suck...

CHS vs. Amador, 10/3/08
Anyways, today was kind of... weird. It was hecka fun though! Basically, we (the Colorguard) all looked like sluts. Lol. What with our "awesome" HUGE fake eyelashes, bright red lipstick, black/red pleather pants, fishnet tops, glittery cummerbunds, and red pleather bras. So, we warmed up until about 7:30, then headed out to the field, where we kept practicing until it was time for us to go perform. It was hella funny though; when we did the lift, half the people in the audience were like, catcalling and going, "WOOOOOO!!!" and shouting stuff like, "Do it again!!!" It was quite interesting. Then afterwards, we basically did our thing (I forgot to turn, but otherwise, I did pretty well... for me, that is.) But apparently, Jay and Kelly thought we sucked like sh*t, so they were getting all pissed, but Justine was just like, "They're used to the standards for Blue Devils and Vanguard; they don't understand the meaning of guard being a recreational sport for us. So don't take what they say too seriously." Afterwards, after we changed and everything (I left my eyelashes on because I was too lazy to peel them from my eyelids), I hung out with Ellen, Christine, and Haley, and we all got some food at the Snack Shack, then watched the game, and cheered them on, and listened to the band play our fight song over and over again (they played "Tila Tequila" once, but that was about it), and screamed our heads off (or maybe that was just me). We won 24-23, which is pretty amazing, seeing as when we performed, it was 7-17 (Amador was winning). Then I waited for Ross outside the band room, and talked to Ellen, Jung, David, Jenny, Yeaji, and some other people. Then after I got home, I went into the bathroom, and was like "WHOA!" because me + fake eyelashes + red lipstick = not me at all. It looked hella freaky, it wasn't even funny. So tonight was pretty interesting, sort of fun, but I don't want to go to practice tomorrow. Like, at all.

Club Fair!
Anyways, Club Fair was today, and I'm proud to say that I'm part of approximately ten clubs now. XP I think I got over-enthusiastic. Anyways, I have MUN (Model United Nations), Interact, Key Club, S-Club (Service Club), Music for a Smile, some club which raises money for backpacks for poor kids, Badminton Club, French Club, The Protagonist, and I might have more that I don't remember. LOL. I think I might have to quit some if the meet times overlap. =/ Oh well. I got so much candy for signing up! Haha, it was awesome. Then I had to recruit people for the Badminton Club, since Pink Bunny's the president, and I'm the treasurer. We have over 70 people in our club, according to Pink Bunny, which is AWESOME! Anyways, I think I signed up for way too many clubs, but whatever. If I really have to quit some, no offense to them, but I'd probably quit the backpack club, and French Club, since they're less known and I don't think they do much. Then, if I had to quit more, it'd be Music for a Smile and S-Club. Then I'd have like... 5 clubs? Hm. Well, I wouldn't have to do much for Badminton Club, since I'm just an officer and Pink Bunny would understand. She understands my hectic lifestyle. XD But yeah, I'm an "official" member of 9 clubs that I know of! Go me! =D
