Braces Update!

As I promised, here the braces update. They're annoying. Well, I mean, they don't hurt or anything...yet. It's just that they keep digging into the insides of my lips and it's pissing me off. Plus it feels really weird to have a mouth full of metal. Oh well. The process hurt more than the braces do... at the current moment. They like jam these metal rings (called bands) on the last two back teeth on every side and both top and bottom, then they literally glue on the bracket and cement down the bands. My mouth feels so heavy right now. Oh NOW the hurting starts. Ugh. Well, I'm going to try to sleep, since I had to wake up at 8 to get these stupid things.

Braces Tomorrow!!!

What might be every teenager's worst nightmare... and it's happening to me. =O Well, I hope they don't hurt TOO much, because it'd be kind of embarassing if I start whining in the middle of my shift at the library about 2 hours after I get the braces. I'm envisioning LOTS of smoothies, juices, soups, pudding, yogurt, and applesauce in my future... Maybe ice cream, but my mom hasn't bought that yet. So anyways, I'll update you on the agonizing, pure torture of braces tomorrow after they start hurting like hell.

P.S. I bought some Jamba Juice smoothies today, and found out that they taste really good as slushies. Like, take you smoothie and stick it in the freezer for around 3 hours, then take it out. Personally, I think they taste better as slushies than as smoothies. XD A really good one to try is Strawberry Surf's Up! I'm actually betting all of them are pretty good, but I only got that and Caribbean Passion, but I like the Strawberry Surf's Up better. The Caribbean Passion isn't bad, more mellow, whereas the Strawberry Surf's Up is more bold, with a nice tang to it from the lime sherbet. But anyways, you should try it! =D

Colorguard

Ah yes, the vision of awesome twirls and tosses executed flawlessly by a perfectly coordinated team in tempo with the music of whatever they're playing and the marching band... Well, not so easy to do... And I should know. So I'm joining the California High School Colorguard team next year, and wish me luck... I'm going to need it. It seems really really fun, apart from having to wear fake eyelashes, but I'm constantly brooding in my fear of a) not being able to do the toss/twirl in the first place, b) not staying in tempo, or c) doing everything fine in rehearsal then screwing up really bd during a halftime show, or even worse, a competition. O.O But it seems fun. So for this year, our theme... Wait, can't tell you! If you go to Cal, you'll see. *winks* I'll say it involves red and black as our uniform colors, some rifles and sabers, and fake hairpeices. Anyways, I can't wait, and I sincerely hope I don't screw up... =/

Spacers...

You know, those little bright blue rubber band things that go between your teeth and hurt like a b%&$#? Yeah, those. I currently have 12 in (got them on Thursday), and it feels like I'm having multiple toothaches. Like, every single tooth. Even the front ones, which is really weird. But yeah, these little stupid idiotic rubber bands shall start a phase of my life that will most likely mean a lot of pain, and tons of soft foods: braces. Happy happy joy joy? Not really. Oh well. I'll just take it as it comes (with a bit of complaining, as always), and soon (like, 10 months) I'll have straight teeth! Hopefully.

AIM Fest

Stayed up until 3:30 am yesterday (or today, depending on how you look at it) AIM-ing Alex! XP We talked about a big variety of subjects, mainly her new Facebook (yay!), cleaning (ugh...), and playing Truth (yay for both of us!). Truth was, to say the least, interesting. We had a ton of random questions like, "Would you rather be a vampire or a werewolf?" and more question which are mean, (Alex to me), "Would you rather play piano for the rest of your life, or kill a friend every day for the rest of your life?" and plain outright a) disturbing, b) hilarious, and c) surprising. Such as, "Would you rather have _____ kiss you in front of Tiffany and not be able to pull away, or have the same thing happen with ____?" But yeah, it was fun, and we both cracked up when we asked the most random, mean-spirited, hilarious questions ever. XP

Idiot...

Lol, so Kevin called me yesterday at a time he knew I wasn't available, since I ran out of Starbucks saying that I had volunteering. So that's the first sign that he's even more idiotic than I thought, which is kind of freaky since I already thought he was the most idiotic someone could get (trust me, he is. Well, most of the time. XD). Then I called him back, but he didn't pick up, so he called me today and I picked up and he asked, "Are you sick? You sound sick." Yeah, I am so sick, even though I JUST WENT TO THE MOVIES with you yesterday! *rolls eyes* And finally, he's like, "Oh, by the way, you made me lose $5." And so, being curious, I asked, "Uh... how?" Then he said, "Well, I made a bet with Shao-Ling that you and Toby would go out sometime this year." And, if you don't know, Toby is one of my guy friends, like Taehyun, Michael, Daniel, Brandon, Ross, etc. So then I was all, "Wait, what? Why the hell would I go out with Toby?" Then he stated ever so logically, "Well it's just what I believed in at the time," meaning, "I thought you liked him." So yeah, then I brought up the point that "Dude, that's like saying I'd go out with Taehyun or something." And guess how he responded. "Well yeah, I can picture that too." I mean seriously, what the hell?! Kevin's more idiotic than I thought. And I already thought he was a total moron. But whatever. I mean seriously though, who makes a bet with one of my best friends (a.k.a someone who would definately know who I like and don't like) that I'd go out with a person. So that was just kind of funny and stupid at the same time.

The Dark Knight

So I went to watch The Dark Knight with Sling, Seohyun, Julie, Jillian, Kevin, Taehyun, and Dylan. It was pretty cool. Oh, and Dylan just walked in without a ticket, since the box office was closed the the people selling the tickets didn't really pay attention. Lots of people in clown masks (plus the dude with a smiley scar and what looks like two black eyes, but is really just makeup, who looks kinda freaky and licks his lips incessantly), the SWAT/Gotham city police, and BATMAN! Add a couple razor sharp knives, few bazookas, some grenades, and a few hundred bullets and you've got an awesome action movie! Haha, but it's pretty cool. Plus the fact that something very interesting happens to one of the people who started out as a protagonist, as well as the fact that LOTS of people die. But yeah, if you haven't watched it, I recommend you go see it! =D I'll stop talking about that now, in case I accidently spill something, like the fact that Batman dies (lol, just kidding).

So we went to Cold Stone afterwards, where Taehyun started waving at this construction worker outside the window. XD Then we sorta walked around Blackhawk Plaza. Dylan and Kevin went to Longs afterwards and the girls plus Tae went to Starbucks (I bought a Mint Mocha Chip Frappucino, cuz I felt like drinking one, but I usually don't so that was kind of weird). The guys met up with us later, and they started trying to throw wadded paper balls into a trash can. Sadly, Kevin failed even though he tried like 20 times. Then I checked my watch (cell phone clock) and it said 3:05 pm so I was like, "OH SH*T!" since I was supposed to volunteer at the library from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Then I sprinted to the four-way cross place, where my mom called me, and she was like, "Where the heck are you?" It took me another like 10 minutes to run back to the theater, then I left for the Contra Cost County Library.

It was okay though (that I was late, I mean, but like 30 minutes) because since the library closed at 5:00pm today, there was a shift from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Volunteering was bland, as usual, but I got a surge of "clients" which was like a mini mob (7 people). Then I helped this librarian label books and stuff. Basically, it was a pretty exciting day. Sort of.

And back to Dark Knight, I don't like the Batmobile. It's so... chunky. I think it should be a really sleek black (like a Mercedea type, only more sports car - like), and still have all the features. But whatever. Batman's suit is SO cool though, especially the upgraded one. Wicked arm weapons. =D Anyways, if you have a Facebook, check out my pictures! Cya!

Arachnophobia

Anyways, these people I know (well, one of them) set up an awesome band called Arachnophobia. They only have one song, but it's really cool. So anyways, go pay them a visit at http://www.myspace.com/arachnophobia3. If you can't really hear the singing tha well, here's the lyrics:

Hey little Asian boy,
Why do you study so hard?
You already have a 4.0,
It’s not gunna get you into Berkeley.

Hey little Asian boy,
Life doesn’t hafta be so hard.
Why don’t you make some friends?

So go outside,
Make some friends and try to be happy.
So go outside,
I’m telling you just throw down your books and go.

Hey little Asian boy,
Why don’t we hang sometime?
We could go to the movies and/or mall.

Hey little Asian boy,
You don’t hafta do so much.
It’s a big world out there...
Ooh...

Summer So Far...

...can be summed up in a very illogical phrase: "Extremely boring, yet oh-so-chaotic." Meaning, all I do every single day is play piano, learn French, and the regular necessities of life. Of course, I have a few days of volunteering, but that's basically it. However, it feels like I'm running out of time, which, in a demented sense, I am. Seeing as I have to finish French, and I'm only on lesson 14 of 36, learn how to bike and swim, and maybe do some Color Guarding (ugh). So yeah. Extremely boring, yet oh-so-chaotic.
On a happier note, I have my online spam group, majorly composed of me, Courtney, and Chen... yes, the same three people who took it upon themselves to drive every teacher crazy by spamming every single homework and even thread in every single class on Schoolloop. But it's so fun (the group, I mean)! It was started by Chen, but it's mainly a ownership split between me, Courtney, and Chen. Except for the fact that Chen and I are always getting banned >=( for "autoresponding," which means that we've just spammed too much, so usually Courtney has the whole group to herself. Anyways, it's really fun, and we're definately looking for new members, so if you want to join and spend your days mindlessly typing random stuff like "Pie is good," or "I'm bored," or even "Je ne voudrais pas parler avec cette groupe, mais je n'ai pas rien faire," (Translation: I don't want to talk with this group, but I don't have anything to do) you can visit us at http://groups.google.com/group/spammersrus/ or send an email to me (krazykittens45@yahoo.com), or even easier, reply to this post, and I'll very joyfully add you into our group. =D
Also on a happy note, I'm going to the movies with my friends this Friday! We're going to watch Hancock at Blackhawk at 11:10 am. So far, the list of people going is me, Seohyun, Julie, Jillian, Sling, Kevin, Ross, Dylan, and Taehyun. We're probably going to go to McDonalds after too, since Kevin insists that he'll be hungry. *rolls eyes* Not saying that he won't be hungry, but it's so him to drag our whole "posse" to McDonalds just because he wants a cheeseburger. Or whatever. Anyways, I can't wait!!! So excited. =)
So yeah, but besides that, summer is still boring. And most of the time, my life can be summed up in two words (or three, if contractions count as two words): "I'm bored."

Puzzle Pirates

So I've gotten kind of sick of MouseHunt (a Facebook app) lately, so I've retaken up Puzzle Pirates. Which I will undoubtedly be sick of by the end of this week. But whatever. As of the moment, it's fun. So anyways, I'm Neicha in the Hunter Ocean, in case any of you peeps were wondering. So it's basically pretty fun, but the only things I'm halfwa good at are bilging and carpentry. So yeah, you guys should check it out, it's pretty fun! I'm saving up for a gown and corset (blue with white trimming), leather gloves (white with blue trimming), saber (blue handle with whie enamel), big cat (white with blue collar), and a bungalow in Aimuari Island. It's going to cost a total of about 200k. it's just a rough estimate though. Anyways, I don't have the poe (Pieces of Eight) to get a picture of my pirate, so the pisture up there is the picture of my crew (Aftermarth) even though I might decide to switch crews sometime too.

Rolling Love

I think I'm annoying some of my Facebook friends with my incessant posts about how cute Rolling Love is, so I'll type here. It's soooo adorable! I'm not a big fan of Mi Qi Lin (Jiro Wang) yet, I mean he's nice and all, but not cute in that romantic way yet. Then there's Guan Xiao Shu (Genie Zhou), who I think is really stupid for not being with Leng Lie (Danson Tang) since he loves her so much. But seriously, Leng Lie is soooooo adorable; he's all like, "I don't care if my father won't accept it, I want to protect her [Xiao Shu] forever." Soooo cute! But yeah, if I were Xiao Shu, I'd go with Leng Lie. I mean, he's just so nice to her and all; she thinks it's out of pity, but it's not, and he can cook and everything too. But noooooo, Xiao Shu just HAS to start liking Mi Qi Lin. Oh well, but I feel so sorry for Leng Lie... He's liked her for so long, just to lose her in a car crash (well, the car crash made her blind, so she doesn't want to accept Leng Lie's love, which she thinks is purely out of pity)... Okay, well anyways, Rolling Love is SOOOOOOOO cute!
I can't wait to watch Xing Fu Pai Dian Bing Xiang, if I can find it, it's about this author and this magician who fall in love over a fridge. I know, weird plot, but basically, the author, Xiao Jie (Yang Qian Pei) was told by her mother that refridgerators can preserve anything, even love. Sadly, she's a struggling writer, and can't afford a fridge. Bo Bo (Danson Tang) is a poor magician who loves milk (I know, weird, but whatever) but his girlfriend broke up with him, taking the fridge used to keep his milk inside. When Xiao Jie was looking at a Lucky brand refridgerator, Bo Bo rides by, and so starts a love story about two struggling artists and the preserving power of the refridgerator. I can't wait to watch it! Mysoju doesn't have it yet, but I sent a drama request, so they might get it on. If they don't, I'm going to pretty much die from disappointment.
Aren't I such a hopeless, love drama addict? XD I seriously want my own drama though, like sure, there are SERIOUS problems with some of the drama people's lives, but it's just sooo cute and sweet! It's like everthing you'd ever want in a relationship... which is why it's a drama, and therefore fake. Haha. One thing I don't like is that the leading character (usually the girl) always has like five guys chasing after her. I mean, sure, morale is that the sweet, nice girls always get recognized by the guys and everything, but FIVE? I mean, get realistic here! I can deal with two or even three, but like It Started With a Kiss has like four and Tokyo Juliet has approximately five or six. Then Hana Kimi has like three or four, which is even more stupid, because only one of them even knows that Rui Xi is a girl. Eh, whatever, they're still very cute and sweet and just plain ADORABLE.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Bit late, since officially it's the 5th already, but whatever. Okay, well, time to be festive and get a break from my usual (bland, maybe?) blue-purple font! Anyways, the fireworks were cool, just like every year. XD Courtney ate barbecue at our house and came with us to watch the fireworks, and we met Black Angel, Michelle, and Nat in the park. Then we played Truth or Dare for a while, in which Black Angel had to call Taehyun and tell him that Michelle wasn't a llama raper [rapist]. (I know, weird...) Ellen and her friends were there too, so I got to see her too. =D Then we had to go back to where my parents were, and we (rather I, but whatever) ate Gummy Lifesavers, Sour Patch Kids, strawberries, and beef jerky. The show in general was cool, but sort of bland, since it's basically the same thing every year. They set them off a bit too low, and there weren't any Saturn ones. =( The smilies were cool though! I still have yet to see a show that is better than the one I saw in Taiwan summer of '07 though; that was AWESOME.
Then again, it's a time to be thankful for the many wars America has participated in the past that have allowed us to gain and preserve our independence and freedom, as well as a time to pray for the troops currently stationed in Iraq. It's hard to celebrate our freedom when so many are dying overseas. Which brings me to think, "What's the point of these wars anyways?" I fully doubt that the Iraqis will look back in a century or so and say, "Thank goodness for the Americans." We can make the world a better place for others, but will they appreciate us for doing so? Then again, maybe we should just make the world a better place, shut our mouths, and hope to get an inch of gratitude from the people. Oh well, some aspects of life shall fully remain a mystery to me. Anyways, Happy 4th!
